This is a very important article and I hope all the readers pay close attention to what this writer is saying. With all the fraud and identity theft that is going on in the world today, you must take precautions to make sure the poker room you play in is secure. I agree 100% that poker forums and message boards are important. I feel they are the perfect place to start. If someone has had a bad experience, you can bet your bottom dollar that they are going to talk about it.

There are certain poker rooms on the Internet that are not reputable and are good places for you to avoid. Probably the best way to identify the poker rooms that you want to avoid is to look through an online poker room review directory and to find “blacklisted poker rooms”. The blacklisted poker rooms in a poker review are the more obvious poker rooms that you want to avoid. Another way to know which poker rooms to avoid is to do a little research on the company behind the poker rooms and to see if there have been a number of lawsuits for unauthorized credit card charges or charges of fraud. A poker review often will tell you who the company is that operates the website. A poker review will also usually tell you about the financial security of the website.
